Scotland Courses - Winter Courses - Spring Courses

Courses, holidays and guiding on the mountains of Skye, Torridon and Wester Ross have been our speciality since 1986

Magical winter conditions on Sgurr a'Ghreadaidh, Cuillin Ridge, Skye - Feb 2016

Our Scottish courses offer the ingredients for a special mountain experience:-

  • Location: the North West Highlands are the finest mountains in Britain; An Teallach, Liathach, the Cuillin of Skye - serrated ridges standing in majestic isolation above the sea

  • Ease of Access: you can fly in to Inverness and be with us in a drive of 1hr and 25 minutes

  • Variety of venues: on our courses we go to a different mountain every day
  • Wilderness experience: in other areas you may share the hills with hundreds; on our winter courses you may not see another party all week!
  • Challenge and adventure: climbing in the North West is truly adventurous; our guides relish the challenge of an untracked ridge or icy gully
  • Local expertise: our unmatched local experience includes over 50 traverses of the Cuillin Ridge and 100 new routes with our climbing groups
  • Home Comforts: we provide excellent lodgings with superb home-cooked meals and personal service

Lochcarron is centrally placed to access all the great peaks of Torridon, Kintail, the North-West Highlands and Skye. The Cairngorms and Ben Nevis are also within our compass.

Getting to Lochcarron is much easier than you might think. Drive to us in less than 1 hour 45 min from Fort William or 1 hr and 10 min from Inverness. Total drive time from Glasgow/Edinburgh is 3 hr 45 min and from Manchester 8hr.

Fly to Inverness from London Heathrow with www.ba.com, London Luton or Bristol www.easyjet.com or London Gatwick or Exeter, Birmingham, Manchester, Southampton www.flybe.com, or from Amsterdam with www.klm.com and be with us in less than half a day.
